The Town of Yountville has a tourism based economy. Over 75% of the Town’s General Fund revenues which  pay for law enforcement services, fire and emergency medical services, parks and parks maintenance, community center facility operations, parks & recreation programming, streets maintenance and utility undergrounding, etc. are paid for from tourists who visit Yountville.  Recognizing the value that tourism has on generating Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and sales tax the Town has entered into a professional services agreement with the Yountville Chamber of Commerce related to tourism marketing and promotion.  Under this partnership agreement the Chamber operates the visitor information center, contracts with a Public Relations firm, and conducts special events such as the Festival of Lights and Taste of Yountville to promote Yountville to visitors.
