Subject: Community Center Trash Enclosure Construction to Begin October 9 to November 18, 2017 - Possible Parking Spots Impacted

A new trash enclosure is being built at the Community Center! This project supports the Town Council’s strategic initiative of quality of life and is consistent with the Town’s commitment to environmental stewardship. The project was developed to create an appropriate space for event and center garbage to include recycling and food composting, protect storm drains from contamination by runoff from garbage bins, and to prevent illegal dumping of household trash into Community Center bins.

The design encompasses accommodations for truck pick up of two 6 cubic yard garbage bins rather than the individual totes currently used by the center. It also provides a lockable pedestrian access to the bins which conforms to current ADA access standards.

Construction will begin on October 9, 2017 to approximately November 18, 2017.
The construction site for the enclosure is located at the rear of the Community Center in the northeast corner of the parking lot. During this time, several parking spots will be closed. Traffic control could temporarily limit access to the back of the parking lot for safety (see map). The work is weather and materials permitting. The Town thanks you in advance for your patience and apologizes for the inconvenience.
