Subject: How to Best Stay In Touch With the Town of Yountville

The recent Napa Fire Storm situation highlights the importance of understanding how the Town of Yountville provides information to our residents, neighbors, and business community.

On behalf of the Town we greatly appreciate the understanding and support that our residents have shown. Our Town staff, law enforcement and fire first responders have responded to the extended emergency situation and provided up-to-date communications to you about the situation while at the same time, activating our emergency response plan and shelter plans.  My sincere appreciation also goes to our Town staff, law enforcement and fire first responders who were present to support our residents and implement these plans during this emergency event.

With today’s ever changing technology and the advent of smart phones and social media sites the way we all obtain our information is changing.  In many cases you will need to opt in or sign up for communications from the Town.

The Town of Yountville offers numerous ways to stay in touch with the Town. Whether you want to “be in the know” for general information news such as media releases or Town Council, Zoning Design Review Board, Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission or Arts Commission agendas, or want to receive emergency notification, the Town offers you access to as much information as you may want in various methods. Please review these choices and sign up to get the information that you want in the manner you want.

Reverse 911 phone call:
In an emergency the Town can activate a reverse 911 call to LAND LINE PHONES ONLY to alert residents to the emergency situation and provide direction such as flooding condition, fire evacuation, etc.  The Reverse 911 phone call does not work with cell phones or Voice Over Internet Protocol phones.

Door to Door Contact: In the event of an emergency situation which involves a mandatory evacuation order, Emergency first responders and Town staff will patrol the streets using sirens, bull horns and knocking door to door to alert residents of the situation.
