Subject: Yountville Storm Preparation – Town Closing All Paths Due to Wind Advisory
High wind gusts and heavy periods of rain are forecasted over the next few days. As a precaution, the Town is closing the following paths which will be reopened in the afternoon after the storm passes.
The following paths will be closed:
•Yountville Bike Path
•Path along Hopper Creek at Heather Street
•Path behind the Yountville Elementary School
•Pedestrian bridge on Finnell
•Path behind Hotel Yountville
Residents should be prepared for a typical winter rainstorm event with local rainfall beginning late Thursday through Saturday. The joint Napa County/Town of Yountville self-serve sandbag station is open at the northwest corner of Washington Street and Grant Street at Yountville Community Park for residents wanting sandbags. Sandbags will be provided and are located in a bin, but we ask residents to bring their own shovels.
Other areas to watch for localized water ponding include:
•The intersection area of Washington Street and California Drive adjacent to Villagio Channel.
•Intersection area California Drive and Solano Avenue adjacent to the golf course.
