Gallery Show Summer 2018

"Texture in the Natural World"

featuring local artists Franci Claudon, Belinda Leake and Angela Tirrell

Opening Reception: May 17, 2018   5:30 - 7 PM
Gallery Show: May 17 - August 17, 2018

Franci, known for her contemporary work, sees her paintings as an exploration of beauty - in a dirty gritty grey, gleaming red, ghostly white, saturated blue. "They are an expression on the possibility for myself, for you & for the world. They are an act of love."

Belinda, know for her abstract work, has developed her style through a collision of experience, the development of surface quality and experimentation. Her paintings invite the viewer to explore and interpret through discovery of form, patterns and shapes that resonate with viewer. Belinda
Thai Flash, Angela Tirrell

Angela, known for her abstract paintings and murals, incorporate elements such as sand, charcoal, insect carapaces, acupuncture needles, glass shards, papyrus and other found objects to reflect the topical concerns of the world around us. "My painting are - I hope- essays, prayers, and conduits to encourage reflection and communication about the complexities which introduce themselves during life, and often inhabit our hearts and minds."
