Join the Yountville Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission!

The Town of Yountville is looking for enthusiastic community members to join the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission. This is your chance to make a positive impact on our town's parks, recreation facilities, and cultural activities! 

Let's build a vibrant and active community together!     

Meeting Time and Location:
Bi-monthly (Odd months) on the third Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Town Council Chambers, 6550 Yount Street

Two Positions Available:
1 member for a two-year term (Jan 21, 2024 - Jan 20, 2026)
1 Student Representative (Middle School or High School) for a one-year term (Jan 21, 2024 - Jan 20, 2025)

Planning and Building Update

Planning & Building Update

Land Use Applications and Projects – 

Staff have received a resubmittal for the Land Use Application and materials for 6651 Jefferson Street and it is under review and will most likely be going to the March ZDRB meeting. 

The Land Use Application and materials for 6867 Jefferson Street were determined to be complete. This item is tentatively scheduled for the February ZDRB meeting.

The R+D Land Use Application for new Use Permit for ‘To-Go’ services and Master Development Plan Amendment was approved by the Town Council at the January 16th Town Council Meeting.

The Land Use application for 1980 Yountville Crossroads (Oak & Vine Subdivision) was determined complete and staff continues to review the project for consistency with zoning, General Plan and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

The mixed-use project at the corner of Humboldt and Jefferson Street resubmitted the plans for review on 12/11/2023. The resubmittal is being reviewed for completeness.

The Planning staff received a complete application for the addition of an outdoor patio/parlor on the south side of the Bardessono Hotel at 6526 Washington Street.

Staff continue to work on the following Land Use Applications:

  • The French Laundry Garden (commercial project)
  • 2 Heritage Court (residential project)

ZDRB – The next ZDRB meeting will be held February 13, 2024.

Other – The department has posted a new interactive zoning map on the Town’s website. Interactive Zoning Map

The department is continuing to receive Residential Rental Permit applications. If you need to register or renew your permit, please visit the Yountville Citizen Portal here: https://yountvilleca.portal.opengov.com/.

Last week, staff attended a Regional Climate Action & Adaption Plan (RCAAP) kickoff meeting. The meeting included the environmental consultants for the project (Ascent), the County of Napa (project managers overseeing the project & the consultants) and staff from the local jurisdictions. The meeting agenda provided an overview of the project, goals, and objectives. The meeting also touched on public outreach & engagement and data collection that will be needed for each jurisdiction, as well as an estimated timeline.

STEM Scholarship

PG&E Corportation Foundation Scholarship Opportunity

The PG&E Corporation Foundation (PG&E Foundation) is inviting applicants for its annual Better Together STEM Scholarship Program for students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines. 

The PG&E Foundation will provide $350,000 in total funding for 60 scholarships in the amounts of $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500 awards for eligible students. 

Better Together STEM Scholarships are designed to give the next generation of Californians an opportunity to learn and succeed in higher education and support students who have made an impact in their community or who have overcome personal challenges.
