Yountville Night Out: Building Community, One Block at a Time!

Join us on July 31, 2024, from 5-8pm for the first inaugural Yountville Night Out, an evening dedicated to strengthening our community bonds and celebrating the spirit of togetherness. This special event, themed "Building Community, One Block at a Time," invites neighbors to come together for a night of fun, connection, and unity. Whether you are new to the area or a long-time resident, Yountville Night Out offers a perfect opportunity to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and foster a stronger sense of community.

Yountville Night Out will feature a variety of neighborhood block parties, each organized by local residents with support from the Napa County Sheriff's Office and Town staff. These gatherings will include activities for all ages, such as games, music, potluck dinners, and more. By participating in a block party, you’ll not only enjoy a delightful evening but also contribute to the community spirit that makes Yountville such a wonderful place to live.

Her team will be coordinating the event and can provide all the details you need to get involved. The Yountville Farmstand will be open now on Thursdays only from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Join us for new vendors Brigachero (Brazilian Truffles) and Little Hollywood Baking Company (Vegan and Gluten Free Baked Goods) as well as NEW ITEMS from Mercadito (Breakfast Sandwiches, pastries and coffee drinks) and OASIS by HOOPES with your farm fresh eggs, veggies, and fruits!

Meet up with friends and enjoy a visit on the plaza. Seating is plentiful and festive background music is sure to get your day off to a great start.

Reminder - RCAAP COMMUNITY SURVEY

The Napa County Regional Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (RCAAP) is a collaborative effort spearheaded by the County of Napa along with the Cities of American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa, St. Helena, and the Town of Yountville. This partnership aims to leverage resources and promote community engagement to drive climate action and adaptation across the Napa region. If you haven't checked out their new website., now is the time!

The RCAAP planning process is focused on developing actions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and address climate vulnerabilities, guiding the region toward sustainability and resilience. 

We encourage all community members to participate in the RCAAP Community Survey. Your input is crucial in shaping a sustainable future for Napa. 

Join us in this important effort by taking the survey and helping us build a more resilient and environmentally friendly community!

Planning and Building Update

Planning & Building 

ZDRB - Staff plan to bring the Yountville Mad Fritz at Jessup Cellars use permit application and the Humboldt Mixed-Use project forward to the ZDRB at their June 11th meeting. For more information, see the agenda packet on the Town's website.

June 4th Town Council Meeting - The Council has adopted the Housing Element, which will now be submitted to the State of California Housing & Community Development Department (HCD) for final review and certification. We extend our gratitude to the Planning and Building team for their steadfast work on this important project.

For the 1980 Yountville Crossroads project, Council received the staff report and application presentations and heard comments from the public regarding the proposed project.  After much discussion and deliberation, the Council requested modifications to the project and requested that the item be continued to July 16th for consideration. The Council requested that the applicants look at the designs to Lots 4 & 5, provide covered parking for Lot 1 and that the access gate at the entry be removed from the project. 

Yountville Arts Commission

The Town of Yountville seeks to fill four vacancies on the Yountville Arts Commission. Serving on the Yountville Arts Commission offers an opportunity for community volunteers to get involved in shaping the arts and cultural activities in our town. We are seeking dedicated individuals to fill these positions due to the upcoming expiration of current terms.

Key Details:
Application Deadline: June 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
Term of Office: July 21, 2024, to July 22, 2026

About the Yountville Arts Commission:
The Yountville Arts Commission is comprised of seven members who serve staggered two-year terms. To be eligible, members must either be residents of Yountville (at least 4 seats) or be involved with a business or non-profit organization that participates in arts and cultural activities within Yountville (up to 3 seats).

Meeting Schedule:
When: First Monday of every month at 4:00 PM
Location: Town Hall Council Chambers, 6550 Yount Street, Yountville, CA 94599
