Budget Award

Yountville Receives Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from GFOA

The Town of Yountville has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association's (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. This recognition highlights Yountville’s commitment to the highest standards in governmental budgeting. To receive this award, Yountville met nationally recognized guidelines that assess how the budget functions as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications tool.

Yountville Days Parade and Festival

The Yountville Days Parade is just around the corner, and we invite everyone to come out and enjoy this wonderful community celebration! The parade kicks off at 11 AM on Washington Street, followed by the festival from 11:30 AM to 2 PM in Yountville Community Park. With delicious food, entertainment, and fun activities for all ages, it’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Want to be more than just a spectator? There's still time to sign up and join the parade! Whether as an individual or with a group, we’d love to have you participate. September is Preparedness Month: Are You Ready?

September is National Preparedness Month, a perfect time to ensure you and your family are ready for emergencies. Disasters can strike at any time, so it’s essential to have a plan in place, gather supplies, and stay informed.

Here are a few steps you can take to stay prepared:

  • Create or update your emergency kit with essentials like water, non-perishable food, and first aid supplies.
  • Make an emergency plan with your family, including evacuation routes and communication methods.
  • Stay informed about local alerts by signing up for emergency notifications through ALERT Napa County.

Season Finale - Community Cookout with Station 12

Join us for an afternoon of great company and delicious grilled treats at the Yountville Community Center BBQ Area on October 2, 2024, from 3 PM to 5 PM! You'll also hear a brief presentation from Napa County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) on how to stay prepared and support your neighbors during an emergency. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with your community and learn valuable skills.

Yountville Commons Update: Fresh New Look and Upcoming Events!

We’re excited to share that Yountville Commons has a vibrant new look! The fresh paint now beautifully matches the aesthetic of our Community Center, giving the space a cohesive and welcoming feel. Stop by and see the transformation for yourself!

In addition, we encourage residents to sign up for office hours to learn more about the Yountville Commons project and provide feedback. Office hours are held every Tuesday and on the last Saturday of each month from 9 AM to Noon. 

This is a great opportunity to ask questions, share your thoughts, and stay informed about the latest updates. We look forward to seeing you!

Upcoming Event: Measure S Study Session
Join us on Thursday, October 24 at 3 PM for the Affordable and Workforce Housing Oversight Committee (Measure S) study session. This is a great opportunity to learn about the progress and future of workforce housing in our community and share your input on this important issue.

Planning and Building Update

Planning & Building 

We are pleased to welcome Aaron Hecock as Yountville’s new Planning and Building Director. Aaron brings extensive experience to the role and is ready to collaborate on ongoing and upcoming development projects.

In recent updates, the Town Council has approved the entitlements for Pancha's, allowing planned improvements to move forward. Additionally, the Council approved an amendment to the Safety Element of the General Plan, reinforcing the Town’s commitment to resident safety.

Yountville Arts' Scarecrow Contest Returns 

After last year’s huge success, we’re excited to bring back this fun and festive event for the month of October at the Community Center Plaza. Get creative and show off your scarecrow-making skills!
