Yountville Commons Update

Exciting things are happening at Yountville Commons! The garden is taking shape, with landscaping budding and filling in, while the seasonal opening of the Farmstand and Locals Lounge brings even more energy to the space. This past Saturday, The Coop celebrated its Grand Opening at 6554 Yount Street behind Town Hall. Visitors enjoyed a delectable menu from Chef Anthony, along with farm-fresh produce, eggs, wine, and coffee. Yountville locals and workers receive 20% off—if you haven’t stopped by yet, be sure to check it out! For more info, visit @hoopesvineyard.

Meanwhile, Yountville Fit is buzzing with activity, Parks & Rec programming continues at Schmitt Hall, and happy pups are enjoying Canine Commons. The Farmstand Garden is flourishing with springtime growth, adding to the transformation of the former elementary school site into vibrant civic spaces. Efforts are now focused on the long-term development of the remainder of the site, building a true community hub.

Yountville Blue

If you’re lucky enough to call Yountville home, you’re already living in one of the healthiest, most vibrant communities in the country — a certified Blue Zone. This designation isn’t just a title; it reflects the way our town embraces the habits and values that lead to longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. From our scenic walking paths and bike-friendly streets to the focus on fresh, locally-sourced foods and strong neighborly connections, Yountville is a living example of what it means to thrive.

As a resident, you’ve probably felt it — the slower pace, the sense of purpose that comes from engaging with community, the shared meals and conversations that stretch beyond screens. These seemingly small things are actually the cornerstones of longevity and well-being. Whether it’s gardening in your backyard, catching up with friends at a local restaurant, or participating in town events, you’re already practicing the same lifestyle habits seen in the world’s longest-living populations.

Living in a Blue Zone town means that healthy choices are built into the fabric of everyday life. It’s not about extreme diets or working out every single day — it’s about walking to the community center, enjoying meals with family, moving naturally throughout your day, and staying socially connected. And that’s what makes Yountville so special: we don’t just live here; we live well here. So, take a moment to appreciate that our town isn’t just beautiful — it’s actively supporting your health, happiness, and longevity every single day.

Looking for some "Yountville Blue" inspiration? We encourage you to follow along the Town's social media accounts (Town of Yountville - Local Government on Facebook and @YvilleTownHall on Instagram) for ideas, recipes, and weekly tips to keep you motivated, informed, and involved — all while celebrating what makes Yountville such a unique and healthy place to call home.
