FOCUS in Action

The Town of Yountville is guided by FOCUS, our shared commitment to being a Forward-thinking agency with an Open-minded workforce that is Committed to Yountville, Unified with the community, and dedicated to delivering Sustainable results.

In practice, this means thoughtful planning, dependable public services, well-maintained shared spaces, and decisions made with long-term care for our community in mind. These principles shape how we work every day to support Yountville’s exceptional quality of life.

Throughout the year, we look forward to highlighting how the Town’s work advances these values and benefits our community. Stay tuned as we share progress, projects, and partnerships that reflect FOCUS in action.

Town Manager Update

The Town continues to advance work on the Yountville Commons, including zoning and General Plan amendments and related environmental review under CEQA. The staff report for these entitlements was presented at the January 13 Town Council meeting, and a Town Council study session will be held on February 17 at Schmitt Hall to help inform funding decisions anticipated in March. The full staff report from the January 13 meeting, including a detailed Questions and Answers section, is available on the Town’s website.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee recently completed its recruitment process. Two incumbent members were reappointed, and the Town is pleased to welcome new member Hector Sanchez. Thank you to all who applied and shared their time and interest in serving the community.

At the 3:00 p.m. meeting, Council reappointed Robert Stout and Alain Negueloua to the Affordable and Workforce Housing Oversight Committee (Measure ) and also conducted its annual review of external committee appointments to regional boards and agencies.

Finally, the Town Council approved the transition of the Vice Mayor role to Pam Reeves, who will serve in this capacity for 2026.

Mardi Gras in Yountville

Mardi Gras Week returns to Yountville with a full slate of community celebrations, culminating in the 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Parade and Block Party on Saturday, February 7.

Throughout the week, local businesses will be offering specialized menus and themed experiences, adding festive energy across town. The celebration reflects Yountville’s commitment to supporting local businesses while creating opportunities for residents and visitors to come together during the winter season.

The parade begins at 1:00 PM at California Drive, traveling north along Washington Street, followed by a block party in North Yountville until 4:00 PM. The afternoon will include live music, children’s activities, street performers, and a variety of food and beverage offerings.

Community participation is encouraged, with walkers, bikers, floats, and creative entries of all kinds welcomed. Details, parade applications, and event updates are available at www.yountvillemardigras.com.

Pancha's Reopens, Bringing New Life to a Familiar Space

Pancha’s has officially opened its doors, bringing renewed energy to a longtime Yountville gathering spot. Once a well-known neighborhood bar, the space has been thoughtfully revived, preserving its laid-back character while offering a refreshed place for locals and visitors to connect.

The reopening of Pancha’s reflects the value of reinvesting in existing spaces and supporting small, locally rooted businesses that contribute to Yountville’s sense of place. The Town welcomes Pancha’s back and looks forward to seeing the space once again serve as a casual, community-oriented gathering spot.

Apply for Town Boards and Commissions

We invite residents interested in housing, recreation, transportation, or public health to consider applying for one of the current openings.
